Your wedding gown was one of the biggest purchases you'll ever make, and the hours after the ceremony are the most important for preserving it. Champagne, makeup, hem dirt, and sweat all set permanently if left untreated. We clean and preserve gowns with museum-quality acid-free methods designed to hold up for decades — starting at $250. Why timing matters
The single biggest predictor of how well a gown preserves is how quickly it's cleaned after the wedding. Invisible stains — champagne, white wine, perspiration — turn yellow or brown months later as sugars and proteins oxidize in the fabric. Bring your gown in within 2 weeks of the wedding for the best possible outcome. If it's been longer, don't panic — we can still usually save it, just bring it in as soon as you find us.
Our preservation process
Every gown is inspected inch by inch and photographed before service. Beading, lace, and delicate trim get hand protection. Stains are pre-treated individually — hem dirt, champagne, lipstick, and sweat each get a different treatment. The gown is cleaned, hand-pressed, and prepared for preservation: placed in an acid-free box with acid-free tissue, sealed, and labeled. Properly preserved, a gown can hold up for 50+ years.
Restoration of older gowns
We also restore heirloom gowns — your mother's, your grandmother's, a vintage piece you want to wear or display. Yellowing, age stains, torn lace, weakened seams, and musty odor can all be addressed. Bring it in; we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride, and formal
We clean and preserve every piece from the wedding party: bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, flower girl dresses, tuxedos, and groomsmen attire. If the whole party wants garments handled in one batch, we're happy to coordinate pickup and preservation together.
