Who we are

Wheaton Valet Cleaners LLC is owned by Yasha Taginya and operates five neighborhood dry cleaning locations across the Washington DC metro area. What started as a single storefront on Georgia Avenue in Wheaton has grown into a five-location operation with sister brands in Kensington, Washington DC, Rockville Town Center, and on-site at U.S. Department of Energy HQ.

We are proud members of the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce and run every location with the same standard: careful hands, eco-friendly solvents, and a free pickup-and-delivery service that takes laundry off your to-do list for good.

Our craft

Across our five storefronts, our staff carries more than 150 years of combined experience in dry cleaning, alterations, wedding gown preservation, leather and suede care, and shoe repair. Several of our tailors have been with us for over a decade; our lead finishers trained in traditional European pressing techniques and brought that craft to the DMV.

High-end couture is a specialty. We routinely clean and preserve Oscar de la Renta gowns, Hermès scarves, bespoke Savile Row suits, and heirloom wedding dresses. Delicate beading, hand-stitched lace, and couture trim get photographed at intake before service so nothing changes.

Eco-friendly by choice

We moved off perc-based dry cleaning years ago. Every location uses modern eco-friendly solvents that run cooler, are gentler on fabric, and leave no chemical residue or harsh odor. Cleaner for your clothes, safer for your family, better for the neighborhoods we serve.

Our pickup-and-delivery operations consolidate routes to reduce vehicle miles, and our hanger return program prevents thousands of wire hangers from ending up in landfills each month.

Community

We work with wedding planners and bridal boutiques across Montgomery County and the District, handle uniform and linen contracts for hotels and government agencies, and partner with property managers and residential concierges to run delivery routes through apartment buildings.
