These terms govern your use of the services provided by Wheaton Valet Cleaners LLC and its affiliated brands Debonair Cleaners and Rockville Valet Cleaners. By scheduling a pickup, dropping off an order, or signing up for a membership, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We provide dry cleaning, laundry (wash & fold), alterations and tailoring, leather and suede care, wedding gown preservation, shoe repair, rug cleaning, and related household item cleaning. Free pickup and delivery is available within our service area. Specific turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees — though we hit them about 98% of the time.
Your responsibilities
- Check pockets before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in pockets.
- Point out stains, damage, or delicate concerns at intake so we can address them before service.
- Accurate contact information (phone, address) is required for pickup and delivery.
- Unclaimed items are held for 90 days, then donated or disposed of per Maryland law.
Our liability
Dry cleaning is a skilled but imperfect process. Fabrics can react differently than their care labels suggest, hidden damage can surface during cleaning, and some stains simply will not come out. We treat every item carefully and will tell you honestly if we see a risk before starting work.
In the rare event we damage or lose an item, our liability is limited to ten times the cleaning charge for the affected item, not to exceed the documented current market value. This is an industry standard, and it is why we recommend tagging truly irreplaceable items clearly at intake.
For high-value items (designer garments, couture, heirloom pieces), we strongly recommend discussing the item with our staff before service so we can document condition and apply the appropriate process.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of pickup unless you have an active membership or corporate account. We accept major credit cards, cash, and approved corporate billing. Declined payments must be resolved before additional services are provided.
Memberships
Memberships are billed monthly at the rate in effect when you sign up. Benefits (included weight, priority turnaround, included services) reset each month — unused allowances do not roll over unless otherwise stated. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice; your final month runs to the end of the billing period.
Pickup and delivery
Free pickup and delivery is provided within our defined service area. Missed pickups (nobody home, bag not out) can be rescheduled at no charge. We are not responsible for items left unattended outside that are stolen before pickup — if you prefer, schedule a hand-off with the driver.
Unclaimed items
Items not picked up within 90 days of the ready date are considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of in accordance with Maryland law. We will attempt to contact you by phone and email before any item is removed from storage.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes will be resolved in Montgomery County, Maryland.
