Our rug cleaning process
Rugs are picked up, tagged, photographed, and inspected. Dry dust is removed first — this is the single most important step, and home vacuums don't get it all. The rug is then washed appropriately for its fiber (wool, silk, and synthetic each have different requirements), dried flat in a climate-controlled room, inspected again, and returned.
Pet and stain treatment
Pet urine is the most destructive thing that happens to a rug — it sits in the foundation and attacks wool fibers from the back. We treat pet damage with specialized enzymatic cleaners that address the source, not just the odor. Wine, food, ink, and traffic-path soiling are addressed individually.
Pickup and delivery
Large or heavy rugs are included in free pickup and delivery — we roll them, tag them, and transport them safely. Most rugs are returned within 1-2 weeks depending on size and condition. For very valuable or antique rugs, we'll walk through the plan with you before any work begins.
Repairs and fringe
Worn fringe, unraveling edges, and minor damage can be repaired during cleaning. Full restoration of antique rugs is done on request — bring it in for an assessment.
